Sunya Williams Folayan gained over 40 years' experience as a clinical therapist, international trainer, and non-profit manager in a successful social work career. Now, as a financial coach certified in Financial Social Work, she continues to bring her love of people and professional care to women considering making life changing moves for themselves and their families at Sojourners Vista del Lago.  

As a commissioned textile artist and published academic writer, she looks forward to facilitating retreats and growing the Olmecx Personal Residency Programs at Lake Chapala/San Nicolás de Ibarra. As the former director and co-founder of the 360 Xochi Quetzal Free BIPOC Residency at Lake Chapala, she is committed to expanding the vision and reach of the Olmecx Residencies. 

Sunya is committed to the intention and vision for Sojourner’s Vista del Lago to provide rest, restoration, and renewal to those considering a move abroad or a brief sojourn to look "deeper within" away from their daily lives.

Donna M. Jones, A.K.A. Savvy Souljar the H.O.P.E. Coach, is a registered nurse with over thirty-nine years of experience. She left her nursing job to pursue her passion of helping other individuals self-discover and pursue a life filled with hope and purpose. 

Founder and CEO of Savvy Boss Solutions, Savvy is a certified Life Coach and Career Transition Dream Life Clarity Coach, offering services to Help Our People Excel. Her supportive coaching structure is integrated with a debt-free black-owned fintech platform and four affiliate programs that focus on economically empowering emerging entrepreneurial baby boomers and late bloomers to create residual income that establishes legacy and multi-generational wealth prior to retiring. She is also a Co-Facilitator of Jumpstart Your SOULjourn, a 5-day wellness retreat for women 55+ held annually in Jalisco, Mexico.

Having lived in various communities in Mexico and Jalisco, MX for three years now, I understand how to communicate with property owners in a culturally conscious way that provides a better insight into the essence of the surrounding community. 

I bring my expertise as a certified English teacher and an Ordained Chaplain who can officiate weddings at your wedding venue.

Lucky Ruiz is Sojourner’s Vista del Lago’s Intentional Administrative Assistant. On a technical front they are responsible for web design, graphic design, branding, and other background organizational elements. However, beyond their technical abilities, they bring a heightened creative awareness to the needs of the staff of the Bed and Breakfast. 

Lucky stands firmly in the belief that as a work community we hold a responsibility to one another that extends beyond the relationship of “colleagues”. Therefore, Lucky’s technical talents can shape shift based on the needs of the team, whether they be individual, collective, or external. As an artist (singer and creative writer for over 7 years), Lucky brings their experience and creative insight to their overarching title as an assistant with Sojourner’s Vista del Lago B&B and beyond.
